Skanska to construct $179m data center

Skanska USA Building Inc. announced that it has been selected by a major New York-based financial services firm to construct a mission critical data center in the northeastern United States. Skanska is booking $179 million in the third quarter for the project and the company's share is 100 percent.
As a leader in mission critical facilities and data center construction, Skanska has worked with clients such as IBM and NASDAQ, among others. The company has constructed complex technical facilities for clients in the pharmaceutical, broadcast, telecommunications, retail and entertainment industries throughout the U.S.
Skanska is currently the construction manager for other high-profile tri-state area projects including the New Meadowlands Stadium, the UN Capital Master Plan (CMP) renovation and upgrading of the agency's headquarters in New York City, and the expansion of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority's Project Horizon expansion.
