Research firm re-ups for another 10 years at W&M trophy

Real Estate Weekly,  Oct 17, 2007

GfK NOP, LLC, a leading market research organization at W&M Properties' 500 Mamaroneck Avenue, has renewed its lease for 24,000 s/f two years early, announces Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the building.

GfK NOP is the fourth largest international research organization in the world, with offices in over 70 countries. The firm has committed to another 10-year lease on the first floor.

"Nearly a decade ago we were looking for additional space to house our Starch and Friedman research divisions, and that was when we found 500 Mamaroneck," explains Christopher Sargiotto, director of facilities and administration for GfK Custom Research, North America. "Our experience in this building has been such an outstanding one, we decided to renew our lease two years early. We feel that no other building in this area can offer the same convenient location and high-quality amenities and services."

Says Mr. Newman: "We are absolutely thrilled that an internationally renowned company with such prominence in the research industry has chosen to remain as a member of our blue-chip tenant roster. The fact that GfK trumpets the quality of 500 Mamaroneck is a testament that our buildings are held to the highest standards, and compete successfully on a global level."

Newman and senior leasing associate Kimberly A. Zaccagnino represented the landlord in this transaction. James J. DeLuca and Gregory Frisoli of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

500 Mamaroneck Avenue is a five-story, 285,000 s/f, multi-tenanted Class-A office building located in Harrison, N.Y. between the Hutchinson River Parkway and 1-95.

The building, comprising dual "center core" pods, subdivides well for multiple users within each pod, with unit size availabilities as small as 1,100 square feet.
