Real Estate industry raises over $1.8 million dollars for Big Brother Big Sisters of NYC

New York, Summer 2007-At another incredible Real Estate community-fundraiser the industry raises over $1.8 Million Dollars in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC during its Eighth Annual Casino Jazz Night at Cipriani 42nd Street. The fundraising event honored Michelle K. Felman, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Wendy A. Silverstein, Executive Vice President of Capital Markets at Vornado Realty Trust for their support and commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC. Michelle and Wendy believe in the magic of mentoring and helping disadvantaged kids have a better chance in life.

The dedication and passion from the Real Estate Community is astonishing. In eight short years, Casino Jazz Night has become both a premier Real Estate Industry fundraiser and a staple in the community. The positive impact and the growth of this event has enabled Big Brothers Big Sisters to expand a number of their programs.

The proceeds from this event will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC to continue transforming the lives of disadvantaged children by matching them with adult volunteers who serve as role models, friends and mentors. There is a tremendous need for our services by boys and girls ages 6-18 in New York City, where nearly 500,000 children are born into poverty and more than 360,000 live n single-parent homes. Their mission is to serve all those who need and want this support.
