Mark G. McCarthy has joined Ariel Preferred Retail Group, LLC, the Williamsburg, Va.-based affiliate of Prescott Capital Management, LLC, as managing director, leasing and marketing. The announcement was made today by Prescott Capital Management's parent firm, The Prescott Group, LLC. McCarthy will be responsible for the Ariel's leasing and marketing functions and will work alongside the firm's managing director, operations and development, Donald E. Chapman.

He will lead strategy and execution for the firm's Leasing and Marketing initiatives as it grows through expansion, redevelopment, acquisitions, and new construction. Prior to joining Ariel, McCarthy was vice president of leasing for Prime Retail, Inc., one of the world's largest owners and operators of retail outlet centers. His 11 years at that company included the redevelopment of the Birch Run center in Birch Run, Mich., along with a position as head of leasing at Prime Outlets--International in Orlando, Fla. He previously was a senior leasing representative for Tanger Outlet Centers.
