Equinox Partners announced that Angela Kleiman has joined the firm as managing director of its Chicago regional office. While Kleiman is based in the Midwest, her practice is national in scope. Most recently, she served in senior positions with Security Capital Research and Management, as an equity analyst responsible for $2.5 billion of the firm's real estate investment trust (REIT) investments, and with JP Morgan Chase & Company, as an investment banker advising senior management and boards in strategic business platforms and capital markets transactions.

She began her real estate career with Chicago-based U.S. Equities Development, Inc. She worked on the City of Chicago's downtown tax increment financing districts such as the Reliance Building redevelopment project. Thereafter, she became one of the founding members and chief financial officer of D2 Realty Services, Inc., which focused on multi-unit residential, office developments and third-party retail management. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Northwestern University, Kleiman earned a Masters in Business Administration at the University's Kellogg School of Management.
