Year's biggest deal inked in Monmouth

Real Estate Weekly,  July 11, 2007

CommVault[R] a leading provider of Unified Data Management[R] solutions, has renewed its 123,000 s/f headquarters lease at Monmouth Park Corporate Center II, 2 Crescent Place in Oceanport, announced David Zwang of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. The renewal represents one of the largest commercial real estate transactions in Monmouth County to date in 2007.

Zwang, who represented CommVault in the long-term renewal, also brokered the firm's initial, 45,000 s/flease at 2 Crescent Place in 1997. "CommVault continues to evolve its business, and 2 Crescent Place continues to accommodate its needs," Zwang noted. "Being able to grow in place is a real cost savings advantage for the company, which maintains a sophisticated fit out, with extensive development labs and technology."

CommVault is a leading provider of data management software applications and related services. The company develops, markets and sells a unified suite of data management software applications featuring a unique single-platform architecture. This includes backup and recovery, replication, archival and storage management software. According to Bill Beattie, CommVault's vice president of human resources, the accessibility to, and quality of life in, Monmouth County have played an important role in the company's success.

"With 10 years in this same location, we are pleased to maintain our offices with MPCCII" he said. "Providing us with convenient access to both Philadelphia and Manhattan, our New Jersey operations will continue to yield future growth opportunities for our company, both in terms of attracting personnel and expanding our enterprise customer base."

MPCCII, LLC owns the 228,000 s/ f Monmouth Park Corporate Center II and was represented in the CommVault renewal by Tom Means of Byron Real Estate. "We are pleased to see CommVault reinvest in our campus and our management staff," noted Carl Gross, MPCCII LLC's managing member.

"CommVault's high-tech development is a good fit for Monmouth Park Corporate Center. It is always gratifying to see a tenant grow, and we are pleased to provide an infrastructure that has contributed to CommVault's success."
