Israel Bonds to honor two construction leaders

State of Israel Bonds' Construction and Building Trades Division will honor James Abadie and Alfred G. Gerosa at a dinner following its annual golf tournament on Monday, Aug. 20, at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, NY.

Abadie is senior vice president and principal-in-charge of the New York office of Bovis Lend Lease. He is chairman of the Contractors' Association of Greater New York and cochairman of the Building Trades Employers' Association.

Gerosa is president of the Concrete Alliance and executive director and a past president of the Cement League. For 26 years, he served as chairman of the Mayor's Advisory Committee to the New York City Building Department.

Daniel R. Tishman of Tishman Realty & Construction Co. and Edward J. Malloy of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater NY are honorary chairmen.

Stephen R. Karafiol of Tishman Construction Corp. of NY, Robert A. Ledwith of the Metallic Lathers and Reinforcing Ironworkers, Local 46, and Michael F. Russo of Fresh Meadow Mechanical are chairmen.

Other construction industry leaders taking active roles in the event include Brian Aronne of Hunter Roberts Construction Group, Scott Borland of Turner Construction, Louis J. Coletti of the Building Trades Employers' Association, Tom Cossu of Plaza Construction, Ralph J. Esposito of Bovis, Todd Hirsch of Gallagher Electrical, Stuart Koshner of R.C. Dolner, Herbert Margrill of the Concrete Alliance, Maureen D. O'Connor of Center Sheet Metal, and Lawrence Roman of WDF.

Admission is $600 per person for the golf tournament and dinner and $150 per person for the dinner only.
