Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced that Franz R. Rassman has joined the firm as a partner in the real estate department, resident in Washington, DC. Mr. Rassman joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he was a partner in the real estate and finance practice in Washington, DC.

Mr. Rassman represents private and public commercial real estate investors and developers, investment funds, pension funds, banks and other financial institutions. He focuses his practice on the acquisition and dispositions of office buildings, shopping centers and hotels; office and retail leasing; joint ventures; real estate lending; workouts; and creditors' rights. Mr. Rassman has been recognized by various real estate industry organizations for his role as owner's or developer's counsel in several complex transactions.
