W&M beautifies community center

Real Estate Weekly,  June 11, 2008

For the 12th consecutive year, W&M Properties planted flowers at Lathon Wider Community Center as part of a community program created by "Keep Stamford Beautiful," a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and enhance the appearance of Stamford.

Volunteers from W&M, with their friends and family, worked with the community organization to plant annual flowers in the barrel planters and in the entrance gardens by Henry Street and Woodland Avenue.

W&M hired landscaping company Eastern Land Management to arrange the cleanup of the property, prepare the planting beds and provide the plants. Eastern Land volunteered its services on planting day by arranging for three employees to assist volunteers in the planting process.

In addition, W&M arranged for its Metro Grille caterer, Culinary Dining Solutions, to provide volunteers with a complimentary breakfast.

As its name indicates, Keep Stamford Beautiful is a community organization--made up of volunteers from the neighborhood and local corporations--that plants flowers throughout Stamford and surrounding neighborhoods.
