Planet Sox pulls up to Empire State site

Adams & Co. Real Estate recently brokered a six-year, 13,500 s/f lease at 20 W. 33rd St. for Planet Sox Holdings, LLC, a premier socks and accessories company.
Planet Sox manufactures and imports branded socks, footwear and home accessories.
The company recently launched a children's product line of character socks with popular cartoons such as Dora the explorer, Mickey & Co. and Spongebob.. Products are sold in over 10,000 stores in the United States and Canada including chains such as Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney and Nordstrom's.
David Levy and David Menaged of Adams & Co. represented the tenant while Steven M. Levy of Kamber Management represented the landlord in the transaction. Though details of the lease were undisclosed, the asking price was $35 per square foot.
"33rd Street is the center of New York's fashion accessories industry," said Menaged. "This is the best location in New York City for Planet Sox's business."
Built in 1913, the 12-story property is conveniently located across from the Empire State Building and boasts infrared key access. Tenant roster includes N N N, Pacific Connections and Long Street. Retail tenants include Empire T & G, Rae's Deli and Circa Deli.
"Companies in niche industries, such as fashion accessories, collectively increase their presence by sharing a location with similar companies," said Levy. "This prime location will serve Planet Sox and the fashion accessories industry well for many years to come."
