Jacobs Exhibit

Sept. 25 to Jan. 5: The Municipal Art Society of New York has launched a multi-faceted project to highlight the relevance of activist and author Jane Jacobs and the urban design principles presented in her classic text, The Death and Life of Great American Cities. "Jane Jacobs and the Future of New York," applies Jacobs' principles to contemporary New York while seeking to initiate a dialogue concerning the future of the city. NYU Sales Course

Oct. 2 to Nov. 27: New York University Real Estate Institute is offering the 45-hour New York Real Estate Salesperson's course. Rosner Memorial Conference

Oct. 31: UJA-Federation of New York will hold its 27th Annual Bud Rosner Memorial Long Island Estate, Tax & Financial Planning Conference from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. The conference, sponsored by UJA-Federation's Planned Giving & Endowments Department (www.planned-giving.org), will take place at Crest Hollow Country Club, 8325 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, NY. Suited to attorneys, accountants, and estate, tax, and financial planning professionals, the event will provide updates on foundations, ethics, valuations, elder law, and estate planning. ULI-NNJ Panel

Nov. 1: The Northern New Jersey District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI-NNJ) will present three roundtable panels focusing on Jersey City and Hoboken beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Liberty House Restaurant, 76 Audrey Zapp Drive, Liberty State Park, Jersey City, N.J. Tours will be available from 1 to 2:15 p.m of The Beacon in Jersey City, Liberty Harbor in Jersey City and Maxwell Place in Hoboken.
