> The August 1 article, BOMA Rings in Change, incorrectly stated that there are 4.8 billion commercial buildings in the country totaling 71 billion square feet of space, and that through the U.S. EPA's ENERGY STAR program, American's saved 170 kilowatt hours of electricity in 2006.There are, in fact, 4.8 million commercial buildings in the country totalling 71 billion square feet of space, and American's saved 170 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, which is almost 5% of total 2006 electricity demand.
