Hospice takes B'way space

Real Estate Weekly,  Jan 30, 2008

Grubb & Ellis Company announced that its New York office recently represented the Jacob Perlow Hospice in the signing of a lease at 39 Broadway in Manhattan.

Jacob Perlow Hospice is a division of Continuum Health Partners, which operates five hospitals in New York City, including Beth Israel Medical Center.

Represented by Grubb & Ellis broker Jeffrey Rosenblatt, Jacob Perlow Hospice will occupy the entire 2nd floor and part of the fifth floor, for a total of 25,000 s/f. The ten-year lease is valued at $10 million with increases.

The newly leased space will be used for Jacob Perlow Hospice executive offices. Move-in will take place in late spring 2008. 39 Broadway is owned by the Lawrence Group.

Jeffrey Rosenblatt, Executive Managing Director of Grubb & Ellis, said, "We are very excited to have worked with Jacob Perlow Hospice on this excellent deal." He added, "The quality space and ideal location of 39 Broadway in the always-improving lower Broadway area represented an ideal value for the client."
