Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced that Charles S. Warren has joined the firm as a partner and the chairman of the Environmental Group. Warren, who was a former regional administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, has over 25 years experience in environmental law, both in government and private practice.

Warren will work closely with the interrelated Real Estate and Land Use Groups, adding his vast knowledge and experience to a team of lawyers already considered among the elite in New York.

Warren comes to Kramer Levin from the law firm Bryan Cave LLP. He currently is a member of the Policy Committee of the New York/New Jersey Harbor Estuary Program and is chair of the Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters.

He previously served as Regional Administrator for Region II (New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He also was director of the EPA's Office of Legislation and was chief legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Jacob K. Javits of New York. He has an LL.M from New York University, a J.D. from Columbia University and a B.A., cure laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Florida.
