Real Estate Weekly, May 16, 2007
John G. Nugent, a vice chairman in CB Richard Ellis' Midtown Manhattan office, was honored with the William H. McCarthy Award, the highest award a CBRE sales professional can receive.
The McCarthy Award is presented to the individual who exemplifies professional excellence, integrity, service and teamwork. Nugent is the first CBRE professional from the New York Tri-State Region to be honored with the McCarthy Award.
"John is an outstanding leader who not only serves as a mentor to young brokers but has also played a significant role in many of the firm's management initiatives and milestones, including the Trammell Crow Company merger," said Mitchell E. Rudin, president of CB Richard Ellis' New York Tri-State Region.
"He is an indispensable resource to the entire company and most deserving of the William H. McCarthy Award."
Nugent is a member of CBRE's New York Tri-State Region's Senior Advisory Board, and serves as the broker representative on the company's Board of Directors and chairman of CBRE's Americas President's Advisory Council.
Nugent's extensive experience in multi-market tenant representation has enabled him to complete over 17 million square feet in transactions during the course of his career.
He joined CB Richard Ellis in 1985 and has consistently maintained his status as one of the firm's top leasing brokers, ranking as the No. 1 leasing broker in the nation for 2000.
Nugent's roster of clients includes Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, PIMCO, Deloitte and Smith Barney.
A member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Nugent is a graduate of Lycoming College.
