GVA team works out 645,000 s/f lease
Real Estate Weekly, March 14, 2007
GVA Williams New Jersey has recently represented Pinnacle Foods Group, Inc. in a 645,964 s/f lease in Effingham, Illinois.
GVA Williams president David Simson was assisted by the GVA Williams Chicago team, led by managing director of corporate services, Richard Page, in this transaction.
The GVA Williams team analyzed several locations throughout the country to accommodate the food distribution company. The developer, Agracel, Inc., will assist with a complete conversion of an existing printing plant into an upgraded, food-grade distribution facility located on 45.5 acres. Agracel also plans to expand the existing building by an additional 108,000 square feet. Occupancy is expected for June 2007.
"Pinnacle Foods Group has additional distribution locations in St. Louis, southeast Michigan and southern Illinois," stated Simson. "The key logistical transportation points in southern Illinois, Indiana and St. Louis were carefully analyzed to determine the most appropriate location for the new facility. After an extensive search, Effingham emerged as the best choice for Pinnacle."
The GVA Williams team also consulted with Pinnacle Foods and the city of Effingham to develop an economic incentive package worth over $2.1 million on behalf of Pinnacle.
Pinnacle Foods Group markets and represents a variety of name-brand food products, including Armour, Aunt Jemima, Celeste, Duncan Hines, Log Cabin, Mrs. Paul's and Vlasic, to name a few.
