Schrade celebrates 100 years of knife making

Imperial Schrade Corp. marks its 100th anniversary this year. The company is kicking off a year-long celebration at SHOT Show 2004. Plans call for a series of events in recognition and appreciation of the company's community, employees, retail partners and consumers around the world. Special events are scheduled in Ellenville, N.Y., home for the historical knife maker.

"We want to make this anniversary celebration about the people who have contributed to and been a part of our longevity and our success," said Walter Gardiner, president and COO of Imperial Schrade.

Schrade is also introducing a series of 100th anniversary commemorative products that are sure to be hot sellers for collectors and regular customers. Schrade also donated this year's SHOT Show knife. The one-of-a-kind Centennial Presentation Bowie will be auctioned off at the SHOT Show to support the Hunting & Shooting Sports Heritage Foundation.
