Vermont received a $24,000 federal grant to put up billboards reminding motorists to buckle their seat belts

Reason,  Oct, 2005  by Charles Oliver

> Vermont received a $24,000 federal grant to put up billboards reminding motorists to buckle their seat belts. Unfortunately, the state bans billboards. Solution? Take the money and use it to put up billboards in New Hampshire and Massachusetts telling people to "Buckle up in Vermont." Since all the billboards near the state lines were already rented, the signs went up deep inside the neighboring states.
