Interview,  Feb, 2008  by S. Brynner,   Andrew,  Liza Oswald

Dear Interview,

After seeing the gorgeous Keira Knightley in so many costume dramas, it was a rare pleasure to receive your December/January issue and see her looking so, shall we say, un-costumey. Loved the pies and loved Tim Blanks's interview. She's a smart girl.

S. BRYNNER Via the Internet

Dear Interview,

That cover of Keira Knightley looks awful. What is the photographer trying to accomplish with that hair and eye makeup combination--some sort of '40s glamour mixed with Charlie Chaplin? I just recently picked up your magazine and I really like it, but I'm going to have to read one or two more issues before I subscribe.

ANDREW [last name withheld] Via the Internet

Dear Interview,

My last three issues of Interview have arrived suspiciously wrinkled despite the "protective" plastic wrapping, so here's my impossible request: Send all future issues in a security envelope! Of course, I can't really blame anyone for opening an issue with a half-naked Keira Knightley on the cover, but to damage a brand new copy, which I pay for, is just plain rude! Life is harsh when you love something so much that you have to sit down and write a letter about it.
