Smart like a Foxx

Dear Interview,

I remember watching Jamie Foxx [November 2004] on In Living Color back in the '90s and thinking how great he was then, so it's a thrill to see him having success now in the movies. The guy clearly has a ton of talent, but the other thing he's got a lot of is smarts. Foxx understood early on how dangerous the seductive side of life in L.A. could be, so he made the choice to keep his eye on the ball. Lucky for him, and for all of us who love the movies, he did just that. How clever of you to have put him on your October group cover, predicting the big news he'd become.
