A flower for sir Paul
Interview, Sept, 2007 by M. Levine
Dear Interview,
For those of us who are old enough to remember the arrival of the Beatles in the United States and the impact the band had on our lives at that time and for many years after, your article on Paul McCartney [July 2007] is a testimonial to the sweetness of the man and the depth of his humanity. He has transcended the deleterious effects of superstardom and proven to be a true gentleman--loving of his family, appreciative of life's gifts, still able to express childlike wonder at the miracle of life, and protective of a difficult wife as she plunges him into tabloid hell during their divorce. In all senses of the word, he is truly Sir Paul, the knight and champion of the flower children. Thank you for reminding us just how special he is.
