Interview,  Sept, 2005  by Michell Vanarsdale,  Evie Finsterer

Dear Interview,

Even though I (peripherally) know people who work in the entertainment industries, reading your magazine I realize how out of touch I am. Your magazine is awesome! Having people interviewed by their "peers" truly opens them up--as it does me. I do have a suggestion for you, though, if you don't mind: an interview with/by Denis Leary and Richard Belzer. I love their cynical, sarcastic stand-up, and they've both managed to turn it into incredible acting. Maybe you could do a "Salute to Sarcasm" issue and put it in there. Regardless, thank you for making accessible to me an industry I truly felt closed off from.

MICHELL VANARSDALE (formerly of Detroit, now of Tulsa) Via the Internet

Dear Interview,

Greetings from Munich! I was recently browsing through an issue of your magazine at an international newsstand in Munich, when I noticed in the letters section there was someone writing to you asking why such a great magazine didn't have any articles on such-and-such an actress. This made me think that if I write to you on behalf of Sean Bean [of GoldenEye (1995), Ronin (1998), Lord of the Rings, National Treasure, amongst other movies, and shortly of The Island, Silent Hill, and the forthcoming Niki Caro project] you might take notice of him. Interview is a great magazine for him to be in. Also, wouldn't it be awesome to have Viggo Mortensen, who is a friend of his, interview Sean or vice versa? Viggo can even take the photos, being the talented photographer that he is. (Sean isn't too bad with a camera either.)
