Interview,  July, 2005  by S. Piper,  Leo Kasinsky

Dear Interview,

I was very disappointed with your choice of cover subjects for the May issue. Although Russell Crowe is a great actor I feel that Lisa Marie Presley has had a more interesting life and should have been featured on the cover instead. I hope that in the future you will dedicate an entire issue to the whole Presley family!

Dear Interview,

While intelligence may not necessarily be a requirement for a successful career on stage or screen, in his recent cover interview Russell Crowe makes a strong case for the potent combination of brains and talent. In his conversation with Paul Giamatti, Crowe made a number of incisive and revealing observations--about an actor's responsibilities, about the cost (and rewards) of fame vis-a-vis an actor's work, and what it is that ultimately drives his own choice of projects. As grumpy and temperamental as Crowe is typically portrayed, I found him immensely likable in this revealing profile. The only thing that kept nagging at me was: What took you guys so long?
