Interview,  August, 2002  by Christine Weydig

The Amalgamut (Reprise)

The theme of this riotous, angst-ridden album is America, and front man Richard Patrick sermonizes on the nation's trash culture with a fatigued bitterness that gets tired fast. Fortunately, a few aural experiments, like "The 4th," balance Filter's uniformly bleak worldview with an encouraging diversity of thrashing sounds.
