Changes coming for congress 2008

Several changes are in store for attendees of AORN's 55th Congress, March 30 to April 3, 2008, in Anaheim, California. Some of these changes include the following:

* New education schedule design--Congress 2008 attendees, and particularly delegates, will have more opportunities to earn continuing education contact hours during the week as a result of a new schedule design.

* New way to register--Members and nonmembers now can register for Congress online by visiting http://www.aorn.org/Congress.

* New Awards Reception--The Saturday evening awards event--previously the Awards Dinner--has a new format for 2008. The newly designed Awards Reception will allow attendees to find out what "Sweet Success" really looks like

* New product showcase kiosks on the Exhibit Floor--Attendees interested in new products in 2008 can visit product showcase kiosks to view the latest technology and innovations for the OR

* New online itinerary planner--Attendees will be able to plan their days in advance to get the most out of their time at Congress; the planner will be available online beginning in January 2008.

* Registration materials to come in the mail--To make the registration process faster and easier, AORN will mail a registration packet containing a registration badge, ribbons, tickets to events, and other items to early-bird registered attendees before the conference

* Return of the AORN Foundation 5K Run/Walk-The AORN Foundation is bringing back its 5K Run/Walk. New for 2008, participants can register individually or as a team.
