Professor Wonder Returns in New Bread Campaign

Brandweek,  August 7, 2000

MINNEAPOLIS--Interstate bakeries launches a multimillion-dollar TV campaign behind Wonder Bread that will continue the antics of the Professor Wonder character who will tout the health benefits of extra calcium and folic acid. The effort, via Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis, will break Aug.14 and air nationally on cable with two spots.

In the first, "Nuerons" features Professor Wonder talking about how "neurons need calcium to transmit signals, so it helps kid remember." "The Germ" spot reassures moms on the need for folic acid to build a strong immune system. FSIs support and new packaging will tout that Wonder Bread has 200% more calcium than other white breads.
