Planet Java, Done Tweaking, Begins Nationwide Rollout - Coca-Cola, completes coffee drink renaming and redesign - Brief Article

Brandweek,  May 7, 2001

OZONE PARK, N.Y.--Coca-Cola's newly acquired coffee drink, Planet Java, has completed renaming and redesign efforts (Brandweek, Jan. 29) and is now being distributed in Florida, Louisiana and along the West Coast. Planet Java will be embedded in the Coke distribution system nationally by November.

Last week, it broke its first radio ads in New York and more are expected as the brand continues its rollout. Upshot, New York, is the brand's agency. Coke changed two of three SKU names: to Caramocha (formerly Milky Wave) and Javadelic (from Javachino). Third SKU, Tremble, kept original name.
