Mervyn's, WSF Team to Present 'Aim Higher' Awards

HOLLYWOOD, CALIF.--Actress Geena Davis is honorary chair for the Aim Higher 2000 awards fashion show and luncheon co-sponsored by retailer Mervyn's and the Women's Sports Foundation at Raleigh Studios July 20. Olympic medalists Julie Foudy and Kristi Yamaguchi are co-chairs for the event which hopes to raise $25,000-30,000 for the Foundation.

Professional and Olympic athletes will model clothing from Mervyn's fall 2000 collection. An amateur female athlete, female community coach and favorite "Sports Mom," nominated by shoppers through an in-store contest, will also be honored.
