Hats off - letters - Letter to the Editor
Vegetarian Times, August, 2003
I am so in love with Vegetarian Times! I've only been a vegetarian for a few months, and in that short time, I have learned more about nutrition and health than in the rest of my 17 years. Finding vegetarian resources is difficult, and many of the magazines I have encountered don't seem to "get it": Ads for SUVs appear next to articles for organic food, which offends my sensibilities. VT, which I discovered only a few days ago, is fun and fascinating to read, cover to cover--advertisements included. It's not an obnoxious fad magazine. Thanks for doing a vegetarian magazine right.

I must tell you how thoroughly I enjoy your magazine. It is one of my all-time favorites among the many vegetarian/healthy-eating reading choices. I do consume fish and meats; strict vegetarianism is not an option for me, as my food sensitivities--particularly with soy, eggs, corn and all cheeses--limit my adopting that lifestyle. But I do eat meat-free meals often.
I also find your magazine great for helping me make delicious meatless meals I can share with my husband, who is not a veggie fan, but who finds some veggie dishes delicious. I also like the subtle, gentle concern VT shows for a safer environment, reflected in your ads and articles.

I am enjoying many of the changes your magazine has gone through. I love the expanded recipe styles and the wine suggestions. And I really like the new look.
