Sweet solution

Vegetarian Times,  March, 2005

Drinking a fruit juice marketed commercially in the Middle East as Israeli Jaffa Sweetie can help lower LDL (the "bad" cholesterol), a study in the August 2004 issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry finds. Researchers also found that Sweetie juice helps keep blood clots from forming, which could reduce cardiovascular disease.

Israeli Jaffa Sweetie contains juice from the pomelit, a cross between a white grapefruit and a pomelo--a Malaysian citrus thought to be the grapefruit's ancestor. The juice is high in fiber, vitamin C and potassium.
