> Calling somebody "pond scum" may soon be a compliment F. the first time ever scientists are finding evidence that spirulinama blue green algae that is found in ponds and lakes and has been marketed as a nutritional supplement--may promote the activation of naturally occurring cancer-fighting substances in the human body According to the April 2002 issue of International Immunopharmacology, researchers at Japans Osaka Institute of Public Health found that adult males taking an extract of spirulina experienced an increase in so-called Natural Killer (NK) cells--and an increase in these cancer fighters' potency.
